What is CRP?

• C-reactive protein (CRP) is an acute phase reactant that responds as a sensitive, though non-specific marker of systemic inflammation

What is a high sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP) test?

• A test optimized to detect CRP in healthy, asymptomatic individuals
• Used to detect low grade inflammation
