What is CRP?

What is a high sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP) test?

  • A test optimized to detect CRP in healthy, asymptomatic individuals
  • Used to detect low grade inflammation
  • Sensitive to detect 0.30 mg/L up to 10.0 mg/L in fingerstick or venous whole blood

When is the test used?

  • As an aid in the detection and evaluation of infection, tissue injury and inflammatory disorders
